MD1219/MD1519 is a type of ruggedized colour LCD rack mount display. It is based on a robust aluminium alloy milled frame with a high level of stiffness in all directions that gives excellent protection against shock and vibration.

The unit is made in two versions:

The standard version offers user-friendly connection through a common VGA (DB-15 female) connector. The rear cover is made from aluminium alloy sheet with good heat exchange and the design can stand low radiation doses and has high noise immunity. In this concept, the front side is fully protected against dust, water and sand. On the front side a matt-finished optical filter is used. On the rear side, there is no airflow through the unit, it is fully dust-proof.

The X-extended version is fully sealed against dust, water, sand, salt, ants and protected against any corrosive conditions. In the X version, not only the front frame , but also the rear is milled from solid aluminium alloy. This construction improves the rigidity and heat exchanger quality. The X version has Amphenol MIL connectors and a thermal management control unit and a matt-finished optical filter with EMC mesh. The display is designed according to all relevant regultions.

On the front side, sealed on/off and OSD menu buttons are available. The touch screen option enables the use of intuitive application software without keyboard.
